Roots flourishes as a unique and enriching space for P3 and P4 children, imparting them with the tools for exploration and friendship. We call it Roots club as for many of the children this will be their first experience with The BIG Project and forms the “roots” of all our youth clubs moving forward. As school finishes on a Friday, participants transition from their classrooms to Roots. Central to this experience is the shared lunchtime ritual, where each child eats lunch, creating a communal moment that emphasises connection and togetherness, fosters communication and develops social skills. The club delivers on a diverse range of educational activities that cater to the multifaceted interests of club members.

The Roots Club is a place where creativity takes root, manifested through engaging activities such as crafts, games, and outdoor play. The session's structure reflects a mindful balance between active exploration and quieter moments. From crafting imaginative play to embarking on outdoor adventures, participants find themselves immersed in an array of options that encourage self-expression and relationship building.

The club's commitment to holistic growth is mirrored in its encouragement of children to embrace new experiences, fostering a culture of curiosity and bravery. Alongside this, the Roots Club is the perfect place to begin sharing the morals and behaviour we would expect of upstanding members of the community. Guided by the values of inclusivity, creativity, and exploration. The Roots Club stands as a testament to The BIG Project's dedication to nurturing the next generation's growth and potential.
